Prior to its October takeover of Skanska Stomsystem AB, Benders is setting up a Stockholm office and recruiting new personnel.
The takeover agreement was signed in June. Since then, Benders has been steaming ahead with integrating the new business area into the group’s other operations.
Setting up in Stockholm City
“We now have yet another solid leg to stand on. It complements our other operations excellently. With the production of prefabricated concrete element solutions in Strängnäs becoming a part of Benders, we have reviewed our organisation and are supplementing it with a newly established sales office in Stockholm,” reveals Ove Bender, MD of Benders Sverige AB.

New appointments in Stockholm, Strängnäs and Edsvära
The newly added product area is to be called Benders Byggsystem. To maximise its potential, there is to be aggressive new recruitment for both the Strängnäs production unit and head office in Edsvära. Amongst other measures, the finance department needs reinforcing and experienced designers for projects are being sought for the new office in Stockholm.

As of 1 October, Benders Byggsystem becomes a part of the family-owned Benders group. The group has subsidiaries in 6 countries and, amongst other things, develops and manufactures outdoor products in concrete, tile clay and natural stone. Employing some 750 people, the group as a whole has a turnover of around SEK 2 billion.
