After the summer, the Strängnäs-based company Skanska Stomsystem, which manufactures prefabricated construction elements, will be a part of the Benders group.
“It is with great pleasure we can now announce that Benders Sverige AB has been able to acquire Skanska Stomsystem AB from Skanska Sverige AB. The takeover is one link in our ambition to be a turnkey supplier of products and services for the construction and civil engineering sector. We are looking forward to adding a new business area and additional expert staff in a sector where we are already active,” states Ove Bender, MD of Benders Sverige AB.
Skanska Stomsystem is currently a part of the Skanska Group. The company offers a full range of prefabricated element solutions – everything from grey walls to polished, coloured and pattern imprinted (form liner) façades. Its products are used in the construction of homes, commercial premises, multi-storey car parks and halls. The company is active in planning, production and erection. It has a workforce of 250 and a turnover of around SEK 500 million. The takeover takes place on the 1st of October 2015.
One important goal of the acquisition is to enable Benders to enter earlier into the construction process and, in this way, give early help with solutions that are more cost-efficient and thus more economic.
“The acquisition also means that, both north and south of the Mälaren lake, we are now further strengthening Benders’ presence in the Stockholm region,” adds Ove Bender.
